Terms of Use – Tariff Classifier

Please read these Terms carefully before deploying or using the Tariff Classifier Agent within Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Copilot. By accessing or using the Agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

01Scope of Service

The Agent is an AI-powered advisory tool designed to assist qualified Customs Brokers and logistics professionals in navigating the documents provided by NZ Customs and Ministry for Primary Industries such as Working Tariff Documents, Part II Concessions, etc.

02Professional Disclaimer

No Legal or Brokerage Binding Advice

Informational Use Only: The Agent provides probabilistic classifications based on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology. Outputs, generated code pathways, duty percentages, and concession suggestions are for general guidance and educational purposes only.

Human-in-the-Loop Requirement: The Agent is NOT a licensed Customs Broker or a legal authority. It does not replace the professional judgment of a qualified specialist. The User retains sole responsibility for verifying all 10-digit tariff codes, statistical keys, and concession clearances before lodging formal declarations with the New Zealand Customs Service.

03Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Cognixa Limited shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to fines, border delays, seized cargo, back-payments, or loss of profits, resulting from errors, omissions, or structural hallucinations generated by the Agent.

04Acceptable Use Policy

When interacting with the Agent, you agree not to:

Attempt to circumvent safety guardrails, execute prompt injections, or "jailbreak" the underlying LLM system architecture.
Use automated scrapers or bots to stress-test or extract data in bulk volumes from the underlying indexed assets.
Input classified government intelligence data or highly sensitive personal data without proper authorisation.

05Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any legal disputes arising out of the use of this Agent shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

By deploying or interacting with the Agent, you explicitly consent to these Terms of Use and acknowledge your responsibility to comply with them.
